Stephanie Mervine

Assistant Tourism Manager

Stephanie Mervine

Stephanie Mervine brings more than 18 years of experience in the hospitality sales industry with hotels such as Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, Wyndham and Hyatt. Mervine has a passion for sales with an emphasis on property openings and multi-faceted experience in sales management, revenue management, food and beverage and operations skills in the hospitality industry. An Eastern Shore native from Berlin, Maryland, she left several years ago to develop her career in NYC, Los Angeles and most recently moving back to Maryland to assist with the new hotel opening at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Baltimore Inner Harbor.             

Mervine joined the Wicomico County team as Assistant Tourism Manager with a focus on hospitality, housing oversight, promotion of new events and strategic sales planning and development.

Andrew Kurtz

Sports Marketing Representative 

Andrew Kurtz

Andrew Kurtz joined the Wicomico County team in October 2017. Previously, Kurtz worked for the American Junior Golf Association, assisting their tournament operations across the county, and the Orange Bowl Committee's marketing and promotions department during the 2016 Orange Bowl Festival. Kurtz graduated in 2016 with a B.A. in Organizational Studies - Sports Management from Pitzer College in Southern California. During his time at Pitzer, he was a student-athlete on the DIII football team.

Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Andrew is a passionate sports fan. He grew up playing any sport he could, primarily focusing on hockey, basketball and football.

Cole Lacey

Cole Lacey

Cole Lacey joined the Wicomico County team in October 2017. For the past 8 years, Lacey was the Director of Sports at Crown Sports Center in Fruitland, Maryland, where his role was to oversee in house sports leagues, camps and clinics.

Born and raised in Medford, New Jersey, Cole moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland after graduating from Wesley College with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Lacey was also a member of  the men’s soccer team during his time at Wesley. Passionate about all sports, Lacey's primary responsibilities include attracting and retaining sports events, providing event coordination services and consultation to event organizers, as well as hosting and managing in-house events.
